My favorite time of year!

Well, its that time of year again. FALL! I love it. It also means its time for Alyvia to start her mothers day out program again. This is her second year to attend this program. It's at a local church on Tuesday and Thursdays. Last year on her first day she cried quite a bit. Below is a picture of her on her first day.( Before all the tears.)

Then there is this year-2011!
She has gotten so big! This year she just gives me a kiss and goes to play with her friend. No crying for her! Well she did cry a little the very first morning, but since then she has been a brave girl! They teach them so much at the school. Each week they have a new lesson and a bible story. Of course the other kids teach her too. Sometimes what she learns isn't so great. Like pointing her finger at me and telling me no. Yeah, we're working on that.

I can't end the post without writing a little about Ryan. He is 3 1/2 months and has started rolling back to stomach this week. He has been rolling stomach to back for about 3 weeks or so. He is cooing and smiling and has even laughed out loud a few times.

I just can't stand the cuteness!

Here he is at 1 day old. Little cutie pie.

Very thankful for my two sweet kiddos! :)

What we've been up to!

Well it has been a looong time since I have blogged. I really want to do it regularly. Alyvia and Ryan are doing so many new things each day and I want to document it somewhere. Anyway, let me catch you all up on whats been happenin'.
Photobucket
We added a sweet baby boy to our family! Ryan Landon was born June 1st at 8:34pm. He is the calmest, most precious baby. When he is awake he is happy and playing and smiling and cooing. We just looove him! Especially big sis, Alyvia.

Okay, maybe it wasn't love at first sight, but she definitely loves him now :)
They are awesome, wonderful, cute, funny, loving and every other good adjective you can think of.

I have also officially graduated nursing school and passed the NCLEX! I am an RN.

Let me just tell you, I am RELIEVED!!!!!
Now I can just sit back and enjoy my family without having to worry about what project is due or when the next ridiculously hard test is going to be. It's a great feeling!

Its almost fall and I can say that I am really looking forward to the cooler weather. It was over 100 degrees for a full month, without any rain! Talk about miserable weather. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and falling leaves.
I plan on making many zoo and park trips in the next month or two, before it gets too cold.
Anyway, I will do another catch up post soon to fill you in on our summer.

Update

Well I started school on the 14th, and the blogging has slowed down since then. I made an A on my first test, so that was exciting!!

Anyway, onto more important things... Alyvia! She has been doing a lot of cute things lately. The other night Matt was putting her to bed, and we didn't give her a bath that night(Bad, I know, but she hadn't been outside that day!) she kept saying in her adorable baby voice, "bath, bath, bath, bath", even after he laid her in the crib. So pitiful! She knew she was supposed to get a bath.

I took her to a baby gymnastics class last week. She loved it. She ran on the trampoline and jumped off onto the soft landing area. She had NO FEAR! Kind of like when she is at home. She isn't afraid of anything. Except flies and spiders. The other day she was pushing her baby stroller around the living room and into the kitchen. Well she stopped and started crying and wouldn't move until I moved the piece of lint off the floor that was in her way. I guess she thought it was a spider??? She is so silly!

We took her to Chuck E Cheese a week ago. She had a good time. She played on the slide and enjoyed watching all the kids play. She even gave Chuck E a high five!! So brave! After Chuck E Cheese, we went to Toys R Us and let her run around and play with the toys. She especially loved this pink Barbie Jeep. Her daddy and I got lots of good ideas for Christmas and birthday presents!

I suppose I should get her settled down for a nap. Momma needs to study :)

Her "preschool" starts next Tuesday. Im really excited for her. She is going to love playing with other kids a few hours a week.

A little of this, a little of that

Alyvia is constantly into things these days. On Thursday she swallowed a dime. I am so careful about not leaving small things laying around. Choking is a huge fear of mine, and I take the necessary precautions to avoid it at all costs, but somehow Alyvia got hold of one. We are still waiting on it to make its way through(sorry TMI). I'm starting to get a little anxious. The doctor said she will get an x-ray to make sure it went through if we don't see it soon. Anyway, that was Thursday, then Friday she fell off our bed. She hit her head pretty hard on the floor. She acted fine, so we went about our day. Then today she did something and has a mark on her face right by her eye. We were getting ready for church, so I didn't see what happened. That girl. She is going to give her momma a heart attack.

Alyvia starts "school" in a couple weeks. I am so excited about this. Its actually a mothers day out program at a local church. It will be Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-2:30. I am going to switch my work schedule around and work Monday and Wednesday nights that way I can sleep while she is at "school". I think it will be really good for her to interact with other kids her age.

We are also looking forward to a visit from Matt's family. They will be her Labor day weekend, and his mom gets to stay for two weeks! It will be so nice having them here. We are going to do family pictures that weekend too.

I start school in two weeks. My last year! In May I will be an RN! It will be wonderful to be done. Nursing is such a great field to be in. Helping people+good money+great hours=a win for everyone involved. I am already an Lpn for those that don't know, but being an RN is a great achievement. It hasn't been an easy road, but in the end it will be worth it!

I guess thats enough babbling. Have a great week everyone!

Things I say on a daily basis

Please don't touch that.

Don't lick the floor!

Where are your pants?

Don't touch that.

Did you poo poo?

We don't throw our food on the floor.

Where did you put mommy's keys, phone, etc.

Why did you do that?

Don't touch that!!

Stop throwing your food!

What's in your mouth?!?

That's not food.

Where's puppy?

Where's blankie?

Are you ready for night night?

I love you

I love you

I love Alyvia so much. We have rough days, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
